Is it possible to find out where in Ploughley registration district the marriage of Bernard John Pick and Ellen T Pocock took place in November 1946 without buying the marriage certificate?

Not really. Ellen’s mother died when her and her twin were born so I am trying to work out who took care of them after her mother’s death and was hoping the place of marriage would give me a clue. She was born in Headington but had relatives in Abingdon and Wallingford areas.
