Eugenie Bruce-green, b 1921 is on a register
What register?
-
Not sure if I can say, but 193?
-
If you have seen it, you can mention it. :)
The transcription on Ancestry is very poor and difficult search. FindMyPast might be different.
Eugenia appears several times in Electorall registers.

The 1939 register indexed as Bauce Green and Minnie Munsell
Probably lodgings as none of the other names seem to have any relation to each other
-
It does seem strange that she is shown as Bruce-green becouse she did not marry Norman Bruce-green until 1942 in Newcastle. She was a Mansell and I believe Minnie was her mother, (maiden name Cohen?) I now see there seems to be a Silvan Mansell, b, 1907 on the 1939 with her.

The register was updated with changes of surname etc. up to 1991.
-
OK thank you, understand now.

I suspect Silvan (b 19 Dec 1907, d Mar qtr 1970 Worthing) started life as Silvan Mandel in East London, son of Albert Isaac Mandel & Minnie - birth reg Mar qtr 1908 St George East, mother’s maiden name Cohen.
Both parents appear to have been born in Romania, as was their eldest child - suggesting they probably also married there.
Perhaps in due course the family’s surname Mandel was changed to Mansell in order to assimilate?
-
The first of the Mandel children to be registered in London seems to be Lizzie:
Lizzie Mandel, mother’s maiden name Cohen, Sep qtr 1902 Whitechapel 1c 244.
