Title: Crossed through entry on Ellis Island records
Post by: Retriever on Wednesday 21 November 18 16:18 GMT (UK)
Does anyone know why the entry for Eva Catherine Howard arriving Ellis Island 9th September 1924 appears to have been completely crossed through?

I found the record on Family Search.

Many thanks.

Yes, it means they didn't travel or if they were mistakenly added twice on the manifest.  https://www.jewishgen.org/InfoFiles/Manifests/left/

I've seen people scratched from a trip, then they came a few weeks or months later. So she might be on a later ship.
