Title: John William RUSSELL
Post by: mickawinn on Thursday 22 November 18 13:13 GMT (UK)
The above was born 1910 in Hampshire. He is believed to have been in the British Indian Army, (possibly an officer) in WW2. Cannot find him on the 1939 register so he might have joined up before the outbreak of the war. Can anyone point me towards any records that can help?

This includes WW2 despite its title:

British Army lists are "hidden" under the Fold 3 extra sub on Ancestry.

Service records are still held by MOD.
