Title: Ashover Parish Church
Post by: Designer Jeans on Monday 26 November 18 11:05 GMT (UK)
In her will dated 1537 Margaret Hopkinson of Ashow (Ashover) asks for her body's bones to be buried in the parish church of All Hallows at Haishow.

The parish church at Ashover is All Saints.

Are these the same church?

All help and suggestions welcome please.

I'm not familiar with Ashover, but it sounds like the same church.

The feast of All Saints was sometimes known as All Hallows, which is why we still call the day before All Saints Day Halloween.

That's the most perfect answer I could have wished for, thank you so much.
