When you say that you "have" William Walter Henry Saunders in Buckinghamshire what document/dataset was that in? (and what date if it's a document?)
I can certainly "see" a birth registration for a Gillian Saunders in 1941 Totnes, but nothing seems to indicate an earlier sibling named Rachel. Nor any later siblings for Gillian

Could you post d.o.b. for William Walter Henry Saunders and name of his wife
the only person of that name I could find is
William Walter Henry Saunders baptised 25 Dec Leamington Priors Warwick parents Henry & Sarah
Death reg

but these details don't match yours- so more information would help - please remember it is RootsChat policy to NOT post details of the living/could be living

The birth ref for the daughter born Totnes gives the mother's maiden name but I cannot see a marriage unless the mother had been married before.

so when and where was William Walter Henry Saunders born??

The only even remotely likely couple on Bucks 1939 appear to be this couple. (& it's a long shot)
Marriages Jun 1921
Saunders William H [W_]icks Southwark 1d 39
Wicks Rosina Saunders Southwark 1d 39
Can't see any kids with first name of Rachel for them.
Gladys R Saunders (born mid 1920's) is a possible Rachel?
(although I'm pretty sure she marries 1947 to a Mr Hargreaves.)

Anyone any idea who this gal is?
Births Sep 1939 Saunders Rachael Penberth Eton 3a 2307
There is a marriage in 1958 Newton Abbott for a namesake of hers
Children (all girls) seems to be S K, E C , A & C M (registered 1963-is this you Cassie?)
In which case, we need to take a step closer to present-day, before going back in time.
Can you give us full parent details & witness names from the 1958 marriage certificate
What may be Rachael's siblings registered as MMN Penberthy & Pemberthy (1927-1941)
Last birth (a female- name starts with B) in Edmonton (No Gillian or other suggested names though)
Marriages Sep 1926
PENBERTHY Dorothy V Saunders Taunton 5c 632 (b 1908?)
Saunders Edwin G Penberthy Taunton 5c 632 (b 1904?)
PENBERTHY, DOROTHY VIOLET WAY 1908 J Quarter in TAUNTON Volume 05C Page 276
Deaths 1946 Saunders Dorothy V 39 Plymouth 7a 635
SAUNDERS, EDWIN GEORGE MILLS 1904 D Quarter in TAUNTON Volume 05C Page 265
Deaths Mar 1977 SAUNDERS Edwin George 10OC1904 Bristol 22 576
It MAY be that Gillian etc are simply a foster family that Rachael was raised with .
Did you ever meet your grandfather, or remember his death date.
If you were born when I think you were, and I have the right guy, you would have been in secondary school at the time.

Keeping on with assumption that Rachael Saunders b 1939 Windsor (MMN Penberth) is your mother & the child of Edwin George Saunders & Dorothy Violet Penberthy.
I don't think that the Saunders-Wicks couple have any connection to Rach(a)el.
1911 census (Edwin GEORGE ) https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:X7RH-V1F
(there are a couple more kids mentioned in WW1 records)
1911 census (Dorothy Violet) https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:X7RH-2BP
If we are on the right track, some of these aunts/uncles of Rachael may prove to be a parent of Gillian, Patrick & the rest.

The 1858 marriage has been confirmed as correct.
Sadly, the groom (b 1935) dies 1968 Newton Abbot district aged 32.

Pauline I could kiss you. I think that you have found my lead, you and the others are angels.I come from a very disjointed past and background. This is amazing. I don't know how to thank you Pauline or anyone else. excluding the rude person.I went back over the records and realized that I made an error and mis read. my GRANDMOTHER is a Penberthy which I mistook as an area. As Penberth as shown is a native Cornish area.a million thank you's to the most deserving people .
I am very new to this . as you can gather. But I have managed to get my fathers lines. I found that easy. But these people have been a little tricky. Pauline thank you x

Hi Cassie you sent me these messages over the weekend but I do not know which topic they would refer too?
Hi. I have a Jean Hellewell on the baprisin reg. Then on Rachel's marriage registration entry as a Janet Thompson. I dont know if that is a faster parent or a witness name.??? Rachel was always shade about her past.
Thank you
No I dont have a physical copy of either certificate s. I just saw the registry on the Geneologist site. But I have unsubscribed from it as it holds very little information on the site and they pad out the pages with highlighted newspaper cuttings of irrelevant material.
But I did see a census with Rachel on it in in Totnes with Gillians name on it in 1941. ?? And we were raised in Newton Abbot area.
I am totally confused also. I have found my Father's family and lines. I just can't understand what I am doing wrong.?
