That census shows a sister Emily, age 1.
There's an Emily French, mmn Cook, born in Sherbourne Registration District in 1850?
Mother and daughter born in Sandford, Somerset according to census.
Sandford Orcas is in the Sherbourne RD.

Hi, now home from holiday. The 1881 census record found by Heywood is for Isabella's mother, another Isabella. By 1881 Augustus (Henry) and Isabella had had 5 children but still cannot trace on that census. Further help required if people are willing.

I posted Isabella’s mother (Linton) in 1881 census to show that Isabella French was not at the address. She had been with her mother in 1871.
You mention the five children by 1881. I advised that you check deaths.
Not shown in my previous list is Frederick from 1871 census

Hi, Heywood, I must confess to having been rash in this research and not following through all the advice given, my apologies. It does seem strange that Augustus and Isabella do not seem to be appearing on the 1881 . Whilst not the end of the world it’s nice to tie up loose ends. Thanks again for all your help

Margaret Henrietta’s birth certificate would have an address which might help.
Perhaps her birth coincided with the date of the census :-\ and the family were too busy.

They were at 13 Susannah Street by 1884 when Hugh was bapt. Next entry on the register is for an Elizabeth Scott 13 Susannah Street parents Emily and Thomas occ. stevedore.
