Title: Regimental badge ID please

Can anyone tell me anything about the badge on the man's suit please?  Our local forum has produced Yorks & Lancs (which was where our local young men were sent in WWI) but a few people have said it's a Staffs regiment.

Here's info on the South Staffs Regiment and their badge. Looks like a Staffordshire knot to me.

They're based at Lichfield.
