Title: 273 W10th Street New York
Post by: m23to53 on Thursday 06 December 18 13:09 GMT (UK)
I need to find who was living at this address c1930/1931.  Tried a search on 1930 census but was utterly lost in Ancestry's indexing of the census (would be nice if they could have 10th or Tenth, not a mixture of both, for instance).
I assume the address existed as I no longer have the source to confirm it, and never had a name to connect with it.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
John

For future reference, this site is helpful in finding what enumeration district a particular address is located in on the census - https://stevemorse.org/census/unified.html

Also, city directories will sometimes list everyone who is at an address or can be easier to search than the census.

I cannot see a 273 on the census page as most of the residence numbers are in the 290s, or am I not looking in the right place. I must admit there are a couple of people on it who could be the one I am trying to find, just not at the right number.

thank you, I don't have ancestry.com and stevemorse.org didn't point to the right ED this time, as far as I could tell.
