Would anyone have further information on the death of Eccles Lennox who died jan-Mar 1906 in Clun. His wife was Elizabeth Lennox nee McMurdy who died in 1923.
Their son Eclas died in 1949 in Clun.
Thanks for any help.

I have further evidence that Eccles Lennox died in Jan 1906 in Clun. Does this help anyone to find his obit or a death record giving his parents' names. I am particularly wanting his mother's name.
thanks for any help

Tonight, I found the index entry for the death of Eccles Lennox in 1906 in Clun on free BMD. I thought you would be able to see the death record itself but I can't seem to do so. Should I be able to see the death record to see his parents' names. Should be James Lennox and possibly Miss Morrow, first name not given on Eccles' believed brother James's death record in Scotland.
Thanks for any help

You won’t get any more info than that on the index. You will need to purchase the death certificate but that won’t give his parents names anyway (unless one of them registered the death).
The only way to find his mother would be his birth certificate, or a baptism.
Do you have him on a census anywhere?
Edited - as he was born around 1834 in Ireland there won’t, of course, be a birth certificate 🙄

Yeah, I was counting on a death certificate as there is no baptism online. If I ever get to Ireland, maybe there is a baptism on some reel of film at Proni.
I have found him on censuses but only after marriage so they don't help with his parents' names. But thank you for letting me know that his parents won't be on the death certificate.

Hi Peggy, i assume you have found his marriage to Elizabeth (in Maghera, Derry, Londonderry) on 13 Nov 1862. Both fathers named but neither mother sadly.

Marriage was 13 Nov.1862 in Magherafelt registration district, County Londonderry. Groom's name was Eckles Lennox.

Yes, thank you. I do have that marriage so I do have his father but not his mother. Of course, I am keen to know the mother not only to be sure that I have Eccles with the right James but I had a further issue with that family or another James. I have an Annie Lennox, born Mar 1, 1833, father James, who married Robert Gregg on Mar 10, 1857 in Curran Presbyterian, and then possibly died in 1915 (although someone on familysearch has dod 1904 but she is on the 1901 and 1911 censuses with Robert dying 1909). I have another Annie, born abt 1836, father James who married William Leslie on Nov 6, 1856 at Wood's Chapel, and then she died July 19, 1916 in Derrygarve (I think I have the dod correct). So I am trying to have Eccles and the correct Annie with the correct James. Hence the search for the mother of both. I found the death of a James who I think is the brother of Eccles and 1833 Annie who died in Scotland in 1879, wife Sarah Brown, and his death record said father James, mother ____ Morrow. Maybe I should review all this paying more attention to religion as Wood's is Church of Ireland I believe. So confusing with both Annies being born so close to each other timewise, getting married so close to each other timewise , and dying so close to the same date.
One of the reasons that I think Eccles and 1833 Annie are siblings is that both of their marriages are in Curran Presbyterian. James who married Sarah Brown has marriage in Maghera Presbyterian which I think is the same as Curran.

I just paid for the marriage record of James Lennox to Sarah Brown and it actually took place in Curran. So Eccles, 1833 Annie, and James all married in Curran, all had father James.
