The circumstances of Reginalds death are a bit of a mystery and something the family did not discuss. The story goes that Reginald died due to scalding possibly in a bath but he was less than twelve months old and my Grand Mother was the oldest child, possibly the person in charge of the household at the time. Could somebody direct me to Newspaper archives which may contain the details of his death, Would the South London Press be the relevant newspaper at the time and if so are archives available.
Any help on the details of his death would be appreciated.

His death is shown a 0 years so he was just under 1
Not everything reached the paper in those days, some inquest papers have also been lost but hang in there someone might know something
Can't find a birth registration as yet either

I don't have a sub any more but generally if there are around 15 burials it would not be a family grave.

I dispensed with this birth Reg, surely he wouldn't be registered after his death, would he?
No his grave would not be a family or private grave

His birth could have been registered after his death was registered. It might even still have been within the prescibed time - much longer for births than for deaths.

I wonder whether this is the marriage of the parents?

Buried 15 December 1919 - so the same day as Reginald.

Well spotted avm, the plot thickens, Mother and son buried the same day, grief or perhaps Reginald wasn't scalded or if he was perhaps she was responsible?

Or perhaps they both died as a result of a difficult childbirth (or complications thereafter) and the scalding story was mistaken?

Alydia’s previous son, Thomas, was born in Camberwell workhouse infirmary in 1917; unfortunately the relevant admissions register doesn’t continue as far as 1919.

Neither does baptisms which I looked for. I think a cert would help here

Yes I agree with getting a certificate or two, would be interested to find out what happened to them both.
There often is a portion of truth in a family rumour, maybe there was a fire and they both died from that but you might expect that to have been reported in a newspaper.
