Margoaie was born 18 Mar 1920 Shediac, New Brunswick to Alfred Chappell and Gertrude Plumpton. She is with parents in 1921 Shediac (shown as Margaret). In 1930 Gertrude takes daughters Patricia and Winnifred to England. No Margoaie. By 1930 the family is living in Borden, PEI. as stated on return passenger list. When Gertrude dies in 1967 a death notice states that she is survived by Patricia and Winnie.
My assumption is that Margoaie died 1921-30 but how to prove. I can not find any death record in either NB or PEI. Also have tried for parents obit without success.

I was wondering if her name might actually be Marg/jorie? Certainly doesn't look like Margaret on the 1921 census, IMHO. The name looks like Marg/jorie to me.

When I first saw her name on the NB index I thought someone had made a spelling error but since I can not view birth cert I have to go with index for now. But I agree with the Marg/jorie spelling.
sister Patricia died as Connell 20 Jul 2005 in Neepawa. Hoping that she may have an obit.

Have you considered trying to contact the cemeteries in birth town Shediac and the PEI town they moved to? The PEI destination on the passenger list looks like is has Port written before Borden?

Have tried Shediac with no luck. Have not contacted Borden. Also waiting for reply from Neepawa library.

Received a copy of Patricia obit but no mention of Margoaie/Marjorie.
Patricia lived in Minnedosa and died in Brandon General Hospital. Survived by sister Winnifred Chappell of Ottawa who may or may not now be deceased. Maybe RK can have a look.
Patricia funeral arrangements were looked after by Swan Valley Funeral Services who may have looked after her father who died in Swan River. Worth a phone call.

The Ottawa Citizen has an online obit for a Winnifred Chappell in 2014. It gives no further info about any Canadian family members so hard to tell if she is yours for certain. The cemetery may have additional info. Click on her name for more details.

Winnifred Chappell who died in 2014 Ottawa is my Winnifred. Kelly Funeral Home would only confirm basic info such as born in Shediac in 1923 and buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Shediac. A call to Greenwood confirmed that she is buried with parents Alfred and Gertrude.

Hello, sorry I'm late to this, a lovely volunteer at the Shediac cemetary alerted me to it this morning. I have a photo of Wynne (Winnifred Chappell) from 1955, passed onto my by my Nan before she died, along with photo's of Pat's two boys, Trudy and Inky ((*)and (*)).
