Hoping for some assistance to locate the birth of Annie Maria QUIGG aka Annie Marie QUIGG about 1861.
Annie's parents were Livingstone QUIGG & Mary Jane HAMILTON.
According to a newspaper article Annie was born in Dalby. She married Joseph WAINE aka Joseph Duckett WAINE Queensland 31 Jan 1881 and died in Barcaldine 06 Jun 1942.

Just a note of possible interest-
If 1861 is the correct birth year for Annie, her mother had a child yearly for 3 consecutive years.

Sue, that on-line tree suggests her birth was in 1863, making her younger than Emma. She may have put her age up to get married as the witnesses do not seem to be from her family - speculation only, of course! And Millipede quotes an 1857 birth on another tree. ::) :-\

Hello all,
Thank you so much for your efforts. Based on the marriage certificate Annie's year of birth would have been about 1860. Based on her stated age at death birth about 1861 so in the ball park.
I am simply unable to locate an actual registration of birth which is :( I have seen QUIGG spelt in a variety of ways so perhaps the issue is the spelling but I am unable to think of alternatives other than what I have tried. I have searched on the surname and parents without a date and that has not delivered the goods. :D
Thanks so much for the ship and date of arrival of Annie's parents.

Of note in the online tree is the second Henry born around 1863. I don’t see his birth on QLDBDM, either.
His 1914 QLD death registration has his father as Charles, but the correct mother.

A most interesting situation. I attempted to replicate the 17 September 1857 Ipswich, NSW possibility without success.
At this point in time I will leave Annie's birth alone and return to it sometime in the future.

You hace probably already tried this - the site given by cupoflife has a reference number for the source of the birth date. Clicking on that leads to a contact for a lady who lives in Ipswich. I have no idea if this lady is still contactable but it may be helpful - or not!
