Thankyou so much, everyone. I love them all.
This is a photo of a building no longer standing, and surprisingly has just been sent to me, as Historian for the district. We had detail on the family, but no photos of their premises, which as the first bakery in the town, we are very happy to now add this to our records.
I greatly value the skills of the Rootschat community in assisting the preservation of photos.

What a great photo and a lovely big gum tree in the right hand side. Where is it PCB?
Carol, your second post looks as if it is raining hard . . . and possibly the locals would have been very grateful if it had been! ;D
Merry Christmas folks.

Fantastic photo and restorations.
So interesting and full of character.

We certainly could do with some rain to finish the year... and we are usually quite happy with our rainfall!!!
This photo is of the original Mount Pleasant Bakery in South Australia. The building no longer stands, having been demolished in 1935 for the building of an Elders stock & station agent office and house, which does still exist, but as a private home now.
I am so happy to have the chance to add this to our collection at the Mount Pleasant District History Room.
