Hi - we have a photo of Patrick which says 1859 - 1915 ..
Patrick died on the Lusitania during WW1
info
http://www.rmslusitania.info/people/engineering/patrick-sheridan/
as we now know his parents we would welcome any info on any siblings ..
we have 7 children born 1884 - 1900 in Liverpool of Patrick Sheridan / Charlotte Smyth - checking for their marriage which may have been in Mullingar 1878?? - there is a record for Patrick Sheridan marriage but no name of the wife on the 1878 record ? but we know her name was Charlotte Smyth from his obituary .
thanks for reading

Brilliant KG - Thanks very much - appreciated - that confirms my thoughts ..their 1st child of 7 in Liverpool is registered 1884 so I presume thay had children in Ireland between 1878 and 1883 ...cheers :)
ADDED
KG - what is that occupation for Edward Smyth - Charlottes father - is it Herds - Man ??
-
after enlarging that Record - Patrick was from Collinstown - NOT Mullingar - so thats another bonus AND they married in the Roman Catholic Chapel of TAGHMON - another bonus ...a trip is on the cards around May to these 2 villages - BUT - Charlottes abode looks like Cloughecon - but there is no town like that on Westmeath list of townlands ....a bit puzzled ... :) :)

Church record for the marriage of Charlotte and Patrick at Taghmon Church, 30th November, 1878.
https://registers.nli.ie/registers/vtls000635282#page/13/mode/1up (P.13, last entry)
Charlotte's address is given as Cloncheevir/Cloncheever. Patrick's address is Collinstown, but his father's address is given as Cumminstown. There is a Cumminstown quite close to Delvin. Both witnesses are from Rathconnell.
-
Thank you all for your invaluable input - we are going over from Liverpool on Friday 3rd May for the weekend .... :)
-
Or possibly Cummerstown which is a townland near Collinstown, both are worth considering.
-
could this be them in 1881 ?
