Hi all,
Just wondering when james Tobit(t) and wife Rhoda emigrate to Australia ?
They were married in England in 1835 (Jevingron, Sussex).
First child was born in Australia in 1837 or 1838 i think.
I don't know from wheren they left or in which harbour they arrived. sorry.

You can find all the BDM's for South Australia online at SA Genealogy
http://www.genealogysa.org.au/resources/online-databases.html
If you would like further information about the details on the registrations I can post more from my resources eg full dates, ages and names of parents of bride and groom and actual places the events took place not just the registrations districts. The districts covered large areas in the early days of the Colony of South Australia.
You can search for newspaper items which have been digitised at http://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/
Much more satisfying to do your own research.

Hi cando,
I don't have a membership or else I would have searched for myself at SA Genealogy.
Would appreciate it if you could provide me with additional details about the Tobitt children.
Let me know if you're willing to do that and I'll let you know which information I'm looking for.
thank you

You don't need a membership to search. It's free. Just click on the link to the databases.
Just ask and I'll help where I can. I have the CD's for SA bdm's.
