Hi folks,

I am researching this chap, born Portsmouth 1906. He was killed serving in the RAF in February of 1945.

I've managed to trace his father as Henry Samuel Hodder but as this was prior to 1911 I can't find his mother. There are also two Henry S Hodders deceased in Weymouth, one, aged 68, in the September 1939 Qtr and the second, aged 83, in the June 1964 Qtr. Which one was John's father?

John married Freda Ethel Colenutt at Weymouth in the June 1931 Qtr. They had two daughters, P* and J*. Freda passed at Wandsworth in the June 1975 Qtr.

Grateful for any assistance.

Tree on Ancestry has a second marriage for Henry to Edith Norman, and then his death as the 1964 one ( which fits with his age in 1911]

Eliza died 1945 also. Horrible year for Henry.

Tree on Ancestry has mother as MERRET  which is incorrect

Because she was a widow Merritt. Father  Willian Preston, carpenter.
Walter Hodder ( Henry’s Father was something I can’t read at a Ginger Beer Manufactory.)

Henry btw was a stonemason
