We're trying to get information on the birth family of Elizabeth Ann.
I have noted that Elizabeth is indexed on the 1861 census of England age 6; from this is a proposed birth year of 1855. She is also on the 1871 census, age 16 and a servant.
I also have a proposed marriage year of 1877, when she married Mowbray Mountain.
What we don't have are parents' names and names of any siblings. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Joseph Parkinson 35 Farmer Wyberton, Lincs
Matilda " 36 Thimbleby, Lincs
William S " 8
Elizabeth A " 5
John J " 2
Walter " 1 all children born Boston West, Lincs?

Same family in 1871 RG10/3334/7/8
Looks like Joseph Parkinson married Matilda Mowbray in Boston Q2 1850.
Use the GRO site to find all subsequent children: https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/Login.asp you do have to register but it is free to use and currently only £6 to order a confirmatory pdf certificate

This is possible, but my notes from 25 years ago state that I found a record of a six year old Elizabeth on the 1861 census (and assigned a provisional birth year of 1855).
Getting old, I guess - don't recall any other details.

FindMyPast only shows one Elizabeth Ann Parkinson born Boston, Lincs during the period 1853-1857 so I guess she must be the one. Her mmn is shown as Mowbray so all the other children on the 1861 and possibly more besides if you use the GRO website, are her siblings.
You should be able to go further back now knowing that her parents were Joseph Parkinson and Matilda Mowbray.
Hope this helps, Pheno

The 1881 census has her birth year as 1856, which would make her 5 on the 1861 census:

Thank you jonw65 and Jamjar.
I think I had Elizabeth Ann misidentified (there were several Elizabeth Parkinsons born in Lincolnshire in the mid-1850s and, lacking parental names I may have glommed on to the wrong one). But whatever happened to William S? Are Joseph Jr & William the same person? Further research...
I'm fumbling my way through the Freereg sites to access GRO & census records. So far I'm even having trouble finding what others have just found. Patience, patience...
Incidentally, Elizabeth Ann died in 1926 in the Birdtail Valley of Manitoba and is buried there in St. James Anglican Cemetery.
