London - Hackney
70 Chapman Road Hackney Wick
William Wright (Head) 50 - 21 years of marriage - 10 children born alive, 6 still living - Woodcutter
Emma Wright -(Wife) - 41 - 21 years of marriage - 10 children born alive, 6 still living

Arthur Douglas Wright (Son) - 2
Emma Wright (Daughter) - 10
Lilian Dilworth (Sister) - 15 - Daily Girl (?) - Linen Diapers (or maybe Drapes?)
The fathers ages seem to be inconsistent so they might not all be the same family?
Please see above images I have to work with.
I am looking to see if anyone can help me find any more information about anyone on the paperwork.
I am most interested in the first son, who I believe to be my great grandfather.
More information: William Wright was born around 1891 and would move to Australia (not sure when or how), and change his name to "James Gregory Mason" by the late 1920's when he would have children with "Ada Amelia Branson".
I am trying to find any record of their crossing over into Australia, or any information about William or Emma that can lead me to any more information about their life.

Those images are hard to read. You would be better transcribing them or giving us the references

I have done 1901 for you
It is always better to put transcripts on here rather than links to 'your pages' . We like to have the information in front of us and not to keep switching to other places.

Thankyou for all the help with the above information, I will do some research into how I use the info to obtain the documents (first time user).
edit: I've found the GRO website and where to enter all the information! Woo!

What evidence do you have that this is the William (1891) you have in Australia.

What evidence do you have that this is the William (1891) you have in Australia.
I have the cemetary death notice here for James Gregory Mason, showing his original name was William Wright.
I also found his marriage certificate to Ada Amelia Branson stating that William Wright had parents named William and Emma Wright and was born in 1891.
It might not be 100% solid evidence, but it's really the best I've been able to find.

Does any of the documentation you have state where he was born

Unfortunately not... I originally got to the Census information by going through my now deceased fathers attempt at a family tree. I can only assume he might have gotten that information from a better source (his father, the son of younger William [James]).
Also when I checked on Ancestry I have a few distant cousins who have linked that census data also, but of course this is less reliable.

This marriage certificate will have provision for the names of both of his parents including his mother's maiden surname, his age, place of birth, occupation and marital status. Are you saying that those columns are blank?

It is always a problem with wrong information being copied on, I suspect most of us on here have seen several cases of it in online trees. What bothers me most with this family's trees is that none of them can find a connection between this family in 1911 and the 1932 Australian marriage nor is there any indication that they have tried to track William and Emma and the rest of the children after 1911. Shame we still have a few years wait for the 1921 census, still I will keep looking.
I see on your other post that you are going to send for certificates, can you please let us know what they say when you get them.

I definitely will update this post with all the information I get from all the certificates I've ordered. Thanks for all the help!

Hopefully they may contain some information that can confirm this English link

Hi Rosie, the death certificate of James Mason / William Wright arrived and it said he was born in London to William Wright and Emma Farr. I went through the William Wright (seniors) marriage certificate and found out his parents were James Wright and Jane Higgins.

Thank you for letting me know, that would certainly tie in with the census you located ;D

As I am new to researching this type of thing, how would I go about finding death certificates for people on the GRO Index if I don't know the year they died?
I know William Wright senior died after 1914 but it's a super common name and the GRO indexes only differentiate with the districts and the year died, which I don't know.
