Post by: king ranger on Wednesday 09 January 19 01:55 GMT (UK)
Hi Folks , can anyone please help are there records for the above, or were these the trawlers that were taken over by the Navy in WW1. I have a WW1 Medal for a W L COCHRANE but can find no trace of him in the records for the Merchant navy. Thanks in advance.

I don't think there are specific records available?

But try these sites:

William Cochrane of Glasgow looks most likely, maybe his middle name was not recorded when he joined. Thanks MaxD for your help ,I tried NATIONAL ARCHIVES last night but did not see that page. Thanks again.
