Thank you for your quick reply this is the family I had as the correct one but then someone has claimed that Rosina changed her name to Rebecca Hannah Page who then went on to marry Thomas Joseph Squires under that name they married in 1867 the Rosina in 1861 census was included and not in the 1871 that would have been a good fit for the one in Australia as she had a child in 1866 Queensland although not marrying until 1870. The birth in Cripplegate also was a good fit so you can see my dilemma . The Rebecca Hannah claimed to have had a sister Emma Harrison the Ramsgate family did have Emma so there is another puzzle

Who is the 'someone' claiming she changed her name to Rebecca Hannah Page? What proof do they have?

I saw the Tree on ancestry and the lady hasn't replied to my query her claim is Rosina/Rebecca was the sister of her G grandmother Emma On the marriage of Rebecca to Thomas Joseph as to the Father christian name unknown Page which to me is odd so possibly the Lady's information is incorrect
Thank you for your help

Rebecca Hannah Page as mother of the bride. In 1926. Bride is 42 so born 1884 ish, at Gravesend, when presumably your Rosina was well and truly in Australia?

On census after her marriage Rebecca Hannah claims she was born ca.1844 St. Lukes, Middlesex.
On 1861 census there is a Rebecca Anna Page bc.1844 St. Lukes, Middlesex working as a servant in Islington who I would say is Rebecca Hannah Page i.e. can't be Rosina Harrison who was born 1845 Stepney and with her family in 1861.

Ah! You can see (sort of) how the algorithms might put that name out there as a suggestion then
Another example of the need to check and double check.

Wow so many trying to help me this is wonderful so grateful. after these suggestions /ideas perhaps i had better start looking to see Emma Harrison I think she went to America as the Tree I mentioned seems to be from there
Regards Lorraine

I've found the tree on Ancestry and I'm sorry, but this tree, like so many, is totally up the pole.
'Their' Emma is said to have married a James Alexander Haley and census - which they have links to -clearly states that their Emma Harrison was bc.1842 Hayes, Middlesex and so definitely not the Emma Harrison (sister of Rosina) who was bc.1848 Shoreditch!!!
So, ignore this tree. I'm sure that 'your' Rosina is the one born 1845 Stepney, dau. of William and Rosina (nee Page) and that she did not change her name to Rebecca Hannah Page.

I am glad you feel the same way about the Tree as I did find birth dates were a bit askew also addresses contradicted the records I saw on line so I think now I will just ignore all that information and just start with the family you have found for me , best do some shredding I think

Have found the marriage of 'their' Emma Harrison to James Haley - they married 24/5/1863 Hammersmith, London and certificate clearly states that Emma's father was a James Harrison, shoemaker!!!
I rest my case.

Hi Emma was born 1848 Shorditch, Middlesex 1851 St. Luke then 1861 Census Thanet St. Lawrence Kent with her Family father William Harrison a tobacco pipe maker so after 1861 like her sister Rosina mystery starts they were both so young in 1861 -- 13 & 15

Thank you everyone I have Emma in Kent and her son from second marriage is the one ending in Canada so now I have some ideas to go on i.e. the Rebecca Hannah was possibly Emma's niece now just to find my confirmation with records. That wall doesn't look so high now

What is your source for this information?
"..Rosina Harrison 1843/45 Middlesex "
Can you list all the information on her death certificate please. It should have "years in the colony"
