Title: Restoration for Mary J Rees, South Wales
Post by: NicoleO on Friday 11 January 19 02:46 GMT (UK)
Hi, I posted this picture during the week for dating advice. After also having spoken to a great aunt, we now believe this to be my 2xgreat grandmother who lived in Swansea. She was found in my great grandmother's attic in this terrible state. Would anyone be good enough to try and make her look nice again please, it's a sad state she's in.

My pleasure....I just had to soften the over sketching, as she has such lovely features.

You'll have to excuse my ignorance. What is over sketching and why would it be done? I haven't even seen the original as it's in the UK and I'm in Australia. I will be sharing your work with my aunt who has it in her home.

It's an enlargement of an original photo, which often looses detail in the process which is then sketched in.
