1911 -

The above census shows Elizabeth with her daughters Edith and Georgina Ashworth.

Therefore it would appear that Elizabeth Ann Ashworth went on to marry Tom Turner.

Marriage details -

Elizabeth Ann Ashworth, 40 widow
Marriage Date - 17 May 1908
Marriage Place:   St Mary, Barnsley,  Yorkshire
Father - Edward Lawton (dec) Colliery Deputy
Spouse - Thomas Tumer
Witnesses - Tom Strutt and Edith Ashworth

There is a difference in Elizabeth's father's name from her first marriage, however I believe she made up her father's name for both marriages to 'save face'. This often happened when the person in question was illegitimate.

WOW JJen thank you very much I'm sure this will be of some interest to relatives.   May I ask where this info came from ?   I have definitely heard them mention the name Tom Strutt so I can say we are on the right line.
Can I just clarify...............   1) Elizabeth Ann Lawton first married William Ashworth and they had
daughters--  Edith Ashworth and Georgina Ashworth.

                                          2)  E. Ann was then widowed aged 40 and married  Thomas Turner.
                                                                 correct !!
Thank you once again

Elizabeth is not with the Strutt family in 1871 and 1881:
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KZG5-FKB
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:Q27Y-W8Y6

With her grandparents in 1871:
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KZG5-J3S

Helliwell / Hellewell is probably her father's surname, possibly he is George, a butcher as from her first marriage (Edward Lawton is her grandfather's name and he was a Colliery Viewer in 1871 so that's where the info on the second marriage likely comes from)

This is only circumstantial evidence but there is a possible George Hallewell, a butcher from the Silkstone / Dodworth area:
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KZGR-SQV
(possibly George Hallewell who married Ellen Archer in 1870)

Thank you Jorose,   it appears from new info from elderly relatives (reluctantly) Elizabeth Ann worked for a butchers  and was a servant to the family of Mother, Father & Sons of which one of the sons put her in the family way, she  was thrown out on the street disgraced !!!  I can only tell it as it was told to us.

Thank you everyone for your very valuable help and info.

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KZGR-SQV
(possibly George Hallewell who married Ellen Archer in 1870)

And going back further he appears to be the son of John Helliwell (and Ann) - who is also a butcher in HoylandSwaine so that would fit with family tales (there are two boys Henry and George as well as younger daughters) - Henry was born 1846 and George 1850

Phoebe appears to have been born 1950 going by Elizabeth's middle name plus the info on her first marriage certificate George Helliwell looks a likely suspect
