Title: Where is Derryvoland church?
Post by: Sharron__ on Saturday 12 January 19 02:41 GMT (UK)

Any ideas?  I think it’s somewhere around County Fermanagh / County Donegal area.

Also, would there be registers anywhere for marriages during the 1830s?

Thanks.

I think Fermanagh too because there is a marriage here and the groom is from Glassmulagh

I think it was mostly near Gortdonoghy and Macken in Fermanagh. Also near Killyvillan and Derryoran Bridge.https://books.google.co.nz/books?id=5EkSAAAAYAAJ&pg=RA1-PA215&dq=derryvoland&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjLj_68qOffAhXEbn0KHbCRDhYQ6AEIKDAA#v=onepage&q=derryvoland&f=false

Who are you looking for? You might try searcing books and newspapers?

Here are some records of deaths in Derryvullan Parish between 1804 and 1866 which covers the period you are enquiring about. Perhaps do a search to see if someone has also transcribed the births and all of the marriages.

Griffiths Valuation was a records of land occupancy carried out between 1847 & 1864. Check the site on askaboutireland

Also ancestors who were around in 1830 in Fermanagh may appear in the 1901 & 1911 census.

A small part of the 1821 census of Derryvullan has survived. It's on the same site as the 1901/1911 census given above.

Thanks for all the replies.  I didn’t find the person I was looking for on the links.  However, since then...I think I’ve been looking up a person whom I (may be related too), but I don’t think it’s the one I should of been looking for!  Although, they have the same name and their wife also has the same forename.  So it’s making it rather complicated!  Thanks again for all the replies.
