Title: Brick wall. Please help!

Further to my post in the handwriting section earlier, I am trying to locate the parents of CHARLES BOWEN born 2 Nov 1873.

On the 1881 census I posted earlier it states he lives with George and Eliza (I think this is her name, but I had trouble reading it) and his younger brother George, 1, in Birmingham.

This is where I hit my brick wall. None of the other information tallies up.

I know he married Florence Aston in Birmingham on 20 Dec 1902, and I can follow his life forward, just not backwards. Nor can I find any info about his brother.

Can anyone help?!

Hi,

You have the date of Charles' marriage therefore do you have his marriage cert? If so who were the witnesses and Charles' father's name and occupation?

I got the date off Ancestry using his army records. I do not have any further information about his marriage other than this.

I simply cannot find any other information about his parents. Everything I seem to search doesn’t tally. I can not locate a mother with the same maiden name for the two sons either.

Is he Charles Henry Bowen registered March quarter 1874, Aston mmn Wilson?

There is a marriage
Edwin Bowen and Mary Ann Wilson 1865

1881 3030/92/37

Edward (on one site) and Mary Ann with children including Charles 7 yrs.

His name is recorded as Charles Henry Bowen on the marriage record.

I assume you have him in 1891    2475/39

I do have him as Charles Henry Bowen on most of the records I hold for him. On that particular census record I previously posted he is plain Charles. (If indeed that is him at all)

Charles Henry is also the name of his son.
