An online passenger list for ss Rangoon, leaving UK for Rangoon in June 1899, shows a Mr & Mrs Meikle in cabin class.
In November 1900 her husband, James Robert Meikle, is on a list for the same vessel, his status given as 'single'. His death and burial are recorded at Rangoon in January 1901, which must have been soon after arrival.
I have failed to find anything, using Ancestry and FindMyPast, about the wife after this 1899 departure and would welcome any suggestions. She was born in Liverpool about 1855 and married there in 1875. There were six chaildren born between 1876 and 1883.
Thanks in advance.

Have you accounted for all the children after 1899 - did they stay in the UK

There is an ancestry tree which shows Elizabeth Meikle passed away 1914 - Q2 - Liverpool - 8b 82 - aged 58 years.

Thanks to you both for your interest.
The children are all accounted for, some with grandparents in the 1901 & 1911 census. I shall follow up on that tree and reported death.
