Request look-up of the following names in "A Dictionary of Scottish Emigrants to Canada before Confederation". Sorry that I don't know which volume the names would be found - perhaps Vol 3?
Hugh Ronald, emigrated from Kilmarnock in 1832
Jane/Janet McKie/MacKie, emigrated from Ayrshire in 1832
William Ronald, emigrated from Kilmarnock in 1841 or 1842
wife Janet Bicket, emigrated from Kilmarnock in 1841 or 1842
All settled in Brant county, Canada West
Thank you to anyone able to help. I have not been able to locate a copy of these volumes to do my own research.

That is very expensive!! :o Save your money - I expect someone will be along soon with an answer for you.
Or, you could ask for a lookup from the Toronto Public Library. They might check for you?

I couldn't find any of the of the people you mentioned. There is a William Ronald:
9479 RONALD, William. From AYR. Rel to John R, qv.
To Hamilton, ONT, <1854, when he m Ann Wingfield.
OGF 29, 125.
And a Janet McKie:
6452 McKIE, Janet, 5 Jan 1823-9 Aug 1896. From Dufftown,
BAN. To PEI, prob <1855; stld Kings Co. m William
Hunter, qv. SPE T21.
But they don't match what you said above.
Is there a reference you have to whether they are in the Dictionary of Scottish Emigrants to Canada?
You can also find the CD-Rom or books here: https://ogs.on.ca/?s=dictionary+scottish

The name Roland I believe should be Ronald. The surname was written as Roland.
Did notice a marriage of a James Roland (age 71 years - Listowel Ontario - born Ayrshire Scotland - retored farmer - father William Roland and mother Janet Bicket ) to Thomison Smith (aged 31 years - Grey Twsp - nurse - father John Smith and mother Ruth Dobson) - marriage Wellington 1899.

The Brantford Public Library do charge (a little expensive probably - but wondered if they might have a copy of the book you want) for look-ups but there was a volunteer listed on the RAOGK website for Brant County who did obituary look-ups and cemetery photos - wondered if they might help but never heard any feedback though. They might have newspaper obituaries which would tell you something about William and Janet ???
https://www.raogk.org/lookups/a-chamberlain/. (not getting the email address coming up - perhaps they are not an RAOGK volunteer now :-\)
