Can any one help with the following.
Lilian (Lily) Maud Broome b 5 March 1898 Wolverhampton the daughter of William Henry Broome, she went missing from home between 1916 & 1918 not seen since.
Have tried all web sites but with no joy, all lead to a dead end. Did she m, did she go abroad I do not know.

have you seen
Lilian Maud Broome born 12th July 1912 Wolverhampton - I just wondered if this might be a daughter of your Lilian Maud Broome - I know she would only be 14 and the daughter would be Illegitimate - but it wasn't uncommon for Service girls to get pregnant around that time - just a thought

Was she a Methodist?
Have you considered the marriage on Dec 20 1919 of
Joseph HARRIS and Lilian Maud BROOME (aged 21 and father William)
in the United Methodist Church, Spring Street, Hollingworth, Cheshire
Civil UK Ref# Ashton, Lancashire, Cheshire; Oct-Nov-Dec 1919; Volume 8d; Page 1331

No wonder we had trouble finding the marriage - registration shows the Broome forename as Lily. :-\ :-\
Added: Image of marriage entry shows "Lily" and that is how she signs - Cotton Weaver of 335 Hadfield Road, Hadfield. Father: William (deceased).

Could that one be in the parish of Glossop in 1911, born Hadfield? Free index says she is a cotton weaver's assistant. Mother Mary is a widow.
