Looking for any info on the bastard family.
I'm finding it so difficult to research as when you search the name it just bring up details of bastard children..
My ancestors are...

What website are you using? You need to use Family Search, Ancestry or FindMyPast and search for the specific names. It sounds as though you are using Google if you are getting those results.

Not very helpful as no birthyear or birthplace given. You presumably have more than just a name so please tell us what you already know so we don't waste time duplicating

Was Bastard maiden or married name of Frances? Do you have dates for Frances? Was she your great-great-grandmother? Did she have a connection with Norfolk and/or Northumberland? Whom did she marry?

That occurred to me after I posted.
I noticed Bastard name in Norfolk in 1600s. Was also written with letter e at end. It looks more polite ending in e.
Does your computer keep correcting Bastard to bastard? :)

I've been going forwards from John and Mary Ann ... onto Abel and Mary x

You are already going forwards having stared with Abel & Mary then onto John & Mary Ann then Frances Mary and forwards to whichever of her children you are descended from.
You don’t appear to have anything prior to Abel & Mary - is that correct? There is a tree on Family Search which shows Abel’s parents as William Bastard and Mary Bishop both b 1860. Abel died 1852
Can you tell us if you already have details of Frances & Christopher from the 1891-1911 censuses? If not - they are available free on Family Search www.familysearch.org
