I am looking for the death of George Tagg. He was born in 1877 in South Ferriby, Lincs.
In 1907 he married Isabella Adelaide Meeks in Marylebone, London. They had one child, Cecil William Tagg, b.1915 in Fulham.
I have found George on censuses for 1881, 1891, 1901 and 1911. Also on the 1920 electoral register living at 137 Wandsworth Bridge Rd, Fulham with his wife Isabella.
There is a death registered in 1928 in Islington for a George William Tagg, but as there is no evidence that his second name was William. By 1930 his widow had married again.
Can anyone find an alternative death for George between 1920 and 1930? If not I will send for the above mentioned certificate.

There is a marriage in Islington in 1909 for a George William Tagg which is possibly that death
-
Was Isabella definitely a widow on remarriage?
-
He is still on electoral register with Isabella register in force from October 1927 - not with Isabella in 1928 register

There is always the chance that the GRO index has wrong age typed :-\ If it is him it should be 51. It is the right reg district for Fulham
Death Dec qtr 1928
Tagg George age 41
Kensington RD 1a 19

Thanks for that, Rosie - brilliant! I like your logic and will sent for certificate with his age as 41.

The only thing I do wonder about is that the 1928 register would have been compiled prior to 15th October 1928, where was he when it was compiled

A good point, but I still think it's worth £6 to look at the certificate. If it's not him, it should be obvious.

I do hope it is the correct one
