Title: Living together before marriage
Post by: cbcarolyn on Sunday 10 February 19 09:31 GMT (UK)
As more and more marriage parish records have come on line I have seen more details of my tree members and I am surprised to see that so many of them declare the same address at the time of marriage.  Can't say for sure how many as they have been various siblings and I think mainly in London.

I am of an age that my parents and their generation very much frowned such practice, yet it appears that their own grandparents and parents did that, or is there something I am missing with regards to the address.

There was a thread about this recently (along with others over the years) but the common addresses were often addresses of convenience.
