I am seeking the Army Records of these brothers from Chesterfield but drawing a blank. Both served in same Regiment which was know as Sherwood Foresters. Lawrence died in 1916 as a result of injuries, as did Patrick in 1919. I have found Army numbers but can find no records. I tried ancestry but no joy. Can anyone point me in the right direction. Maybe the records don't exist.
My information thus far came from a lucky Google search, where I found a newspaper report about Lawrence, which also mentioned Patrick.

The vast majority of WW1 service records were lost in a fire during WW2.

Medal cards on Ancestry for both. Lawrance was 19466, Patrick 241290 in the Sherwood Foresters followed by 403169 in the Labour Corps.
You should find two medal roll entries for Lawrance as he got a 1914/1915 Star as well as the BW and V medals and only one roll BW and V for Patrick. These may have helpful dates. Effects register has Lawrance as 11 Battalion SF, can't find Patrick.

Laurence (correct spelling) Tighe was my Grandad. There are no war records available as they were destroyed. Building was bombed where they were kept. The Army never did spell his name correctly.. Great Uncle Patrick Tighe's records can be obtained as I have them. He was a Sargeant and was Invalided out bcos of a heart complaint.
