Title: Mech and Aero Far Gosford St Coventry

My Aunt worked at "Mech and  Aero" in Far Gosford St sometime around 1940. Can anyone please tell me exactly what this establishment was/did? I think it was the building which later housed "Astley's".

Could it have been the old Humber Motor works, by 1940 they would have been producing parts for army vehicles and components for planes.
