Dear all,
Can any kind person help me please with a look up at St. Oswald Church Fulford, East Riding?
Marriage year: June 1933.
Bride: Evelyn Parker
Groom: Arthur Beushaw/Benshaw. (soldier)
I am interested in knowing what the groom put down for father (name/deceased/trade etc)
Many thanks in advance

Hi
A quick search of https://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/YKS/ERY/FulfordsAmbo/FulfordsAmboPRlocation it seems that the marriage register covering your date is at the Borthwick Institute.
Unless you or someone can get to York then the only way you can get the information is to buy the marriage certificate.

There appears to be only one person who matches Arthur
Birth Sep qtr 1905

It appears that he and Evelyn may have divorced as there is another marriage for him in 1939 Chatham. Evelyn appears to have remarried in 1940.
His birth reg

Hi and thanks all for your replies. :)
I have the 2nd marriage (and divorce), service records, etc and there is another potential mother's death in Lambeth in 1912 under a different first name. He was orphaned and I also have those records under multiple spellings plus school records. Only missing link (without buying the certificate) was the father's name. The Chatham marriage is highly likely to be registry office as it isn't in any of the parish records. Re the northwest link, I already have a separate tree for that family in case they link up eventually.
Thanks again anyway.
