Since the latest update over the weekend - one of those where the system switches itself on/off several times and you've enough time to pop to the shops and back while it's still chunterring away - I can no longer have two tabs of the same website open at the same time. I can still have multiple tabs open, but not two of the same.
For instance, sometimes when working on Ancestry I wanted to keep one page on a record I'd found and then open another tab for Ancestry to check a different record.
Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed the same problem, and if the latter, have you found a way around it - without using a different browser, please?
Hope this makes sense.
Thanks

It may just be a problem with certain websites or facilities it certainly works ok (for me) on Rootschat

It seems I can open as many RootsChat tabs at the same times as I want, but only one Ancestry, BBC, Facebook, gmail.
This is all very frustrating >:(

Very strange I've just checked it with Ancestry and had no problem
Added and BBC

Maybe if I give it a few days, there will be another update and it will go back to normal (well, normal for me, anyway ;D )
Thanks

You could try... Troubleshoot ...
Click System Settings
Then Apps
and troubleshoot!
-
Or
search for Apps + Features....select Edge and repair/reset it

It's not just you that Edge misbehaves for. Sometimes I get the same effect - at random.
It can have been working fine, then it just seems to ignore holding the Ctrl key when clicking to start a fresh tab. Sometimes, using Ctrl-K to duplicate the current tab gives me a version where Ctrl-click works properly.
I believe that the browser is trying to optimise the data in the wrong sequence when building the page, somehow setting the flag to disable Ctrl-click.

Oooh!
I didn't know about Ctrl-K, but I've just tried it and got two different tabs of Ancestry.
Yay!
Thanks :-*
