Title: Capel Powell - 3rd/4th Kings Shropshire L I (4509)
Post by: Lainys on Wednesday 06 March 19 13:40 GMT (UK)
Hello,

I am trying to find the war record for my husbands GGF, Capel POWELL b1893 Fownhope, Herefordshire, who survived the war and died in 1977.

The Short Service Attestation from Ancestry is the only record I can find.

Any further information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Lainy

You have found it.  He signed on in Dec 1915 but was discharged "as not likely to become an efficient soldier" in July 1916 suffering from kidney and waterworks problems.  He served only with reserve units in UK.
