Could I again ask for help with transcribing the above will. It is two pages and I have divided the first page into 3 Snippets and and the second into two. In Snippet 1, please just transcribe any names and dates, not the usual preamble. Here are Snippets 1 and 2. Help is appreciated. Thanks, francoso

I’m afraid I can’t help with the blackened line, but here’s the gist of the probate clause:
This will was proved at Melford before Master John Muriell, Bachelor of Laws, commissary and lawfully delegated official within the Archdeaconry of Sudbury, on the 10th day of May in the year of the Lord 1566 by the executor, sworn in form of law.

Yes I tried tinkering with that snippet too, but it didn't help much! :)
I can't see any more in the new bit you have posted.
Where did you get the will?
It's obviously been scanned. There must be the original somewhere.
In the past, when I have had some query about a bad scan, I have written to the Record Office concerned (the originals were usually held at a Record Office), and asked if they would be very kind and look at the original to see if they could make out what was written. I have to say they have always been incredibly helpful, and I don't think there has been a time they haven't come back with the information.
Worth a shot if you really want to know what it says.

Thanks goldie61. It was a photocopy from the SRO that I scanned, the scan being a touch better than the copy I received but not clear enough. I will go back to SRO and ask them for the views. Regards

Cheers hd86. Do you think is the meaning of" kynred" ? Is this the forerunner of kindred ?

It's just a variant spelling of kindred, with the same meaning.
