About 1889 she went to the United States. Couldn’t she have waited a year, so I could see who she travelled with as she was only about 16.
10 April 1893 marries in Detroit to Dennis FORREST b c 1872 son of Harry FORREST and Mary Ann TINSLEY Residence for Eliza and Dennis is given as Pace Ontario. he is a Farmer
Can anyone see either of them in 1901?
I am not sure when they separated but in 1906 Eliza remarried in Detroit under her maiden name NUTCHER to Charles J RUSH saying her parents are Henry and Alice, no maiden surname given. And, she says she was not previously married. However this is definitely her as in a later census she has one of her NOAKES nephews with her.
(Dennis FORREST died in 1950, Eliza Louisa RUSH in 1958, Charles James RUSH in 1936 - all Michigan)

Dennis Forrest also married in Detroit (23 January 1907) married once previously.
Next marriage Detroit (15 April 1922) married twice previously.
Divorce 15 April 1922 marriage 29 January 1925 - libellant was his wife Mamie Forrest.
Can see a Detroit, Michigan, City Directory, 1906 entry for Dennis Forrest (but no Eliza) - labourer - 142 Plum - Detroit.
No sighting prior to that year so far.

I think they must have gone back to England for a while.
There's a death cert on Ancestry for Herbert C Ruth(sic) age 11-born England. Death date is Sept.30,1908

Thank you all so much. That was more than I was expecting! It hadn’t occurred to me she could be back in London. That might be when she met Charles as he didn’t go to The USA until 1903.
