Looking for a Joseph Fletcher of Penketh or Cuerdley who lost his life in WW1. Any information would be interesting.

Joseph Fletcher is a common name. Do you have at least a rough age or year of birth, or even a relatives name to assist.

You first need to look for him on  www.cwgc.org which may show any of the following details:

Age
Parents
Wife

The site shows 27 WW1 deaths for that name so without more info - which one is yours?

If he is an ancestor - you must have more info

No 1911 entries for Joseph Fletcher born Cuerdley or Penketh but both came under Warrington and there are 2 possibilities on the 1911 both b Warrington.

There's a Joseph Fletcher on the Great Sankey and Penketh war memorial - listed as an able seaman
