Title: Seeking a military record for Charles Palmer
Post by: Muffin41 on Monday 25 March 19 14:01 GMT (UK)
I believe that Charles Ernest Palmer born in Yorkshire was in the Royal Artillery in WW2 and stationed in Duisburg NRW Germany in 1945. Are there any surviving records which may confirm this?

See https://www.gov.uk/get-copy-military-service-records for how to apply for his record that CaroleW points you towards.

A Charles Ernest Palmer did sign up to the Royal Artillery in 1938 and was discharged in 1946 but no detail is given at all in the RA Attestations register on Findmypast so his record is the only way to find details.
