Hello everyone :)
I have just been doing some research on one of my great uncle Joseph Dillon. I believe he was born in 1901, I am not sure of when he died.
I know he married Shelagh Margaret Teresa (I think her maiden name was Colgan). She was born in 1915. I believe she married Joseph in 1941. She passed away in 2013.
They had 9 children.
I think they could've lived in Dannevirke.
Any assistance provided to Joseph would be wonderful :D
Warmest regards,
Ashley

Hi,
It might pay to remove the names of the children that are still living.
Cheers

Hi minniehaha,
I believe it's a very strong possibility that is Joseph (died in 66). I wonder how to prove it.

Maybe request a newspaper death notice from Wellington (?) Library.......
[You should take note of the suggestion made by KHP...... :) Reply #2]

"I wonder how to prove it."
Might have to fork out and send for a death 'printout'. Although the information will only be as reliable as the informant's knowledge of the deceased's details.

This from Archives:

[Access to this record has been restricted by Archives New Zealand for preservation reasons.]
You could ask for a look up for this file. Maybe start a new topic?

Hi Ashnz,
Minniehaha's file is available to view on microfilm.
Would you like me to look for it?

Hi Ashnz,
No problem. It's likely to be a couple of weeks before I can get back in.

Hi Ash,
My apologies, I knew I had an outstanding lookup request and have just realised it was in this topic.
I'll try to get in this week and sight it for you.

Thanks Spades, don't worry, there is no rush. When you feel you have some time would be great.

Hi Ash,
The 1966 Coroner's file falls within a date range where the microfilm itself is the file, not a copy of it, and needs to be taken out of the chiller and returned to room temperature over three days before they can take a copy.
I have arranged for the copy to be emailed to me. It should take about three weeks.
I'll be in touch once I receive it.
