If you have any leads to Imison family of Runcorn [includes Amelia Imison - great, great aunt] I would like to know please. From the records it appears she married a William Tunstall Newton. Did she go on to have children?
There are links to Cunningham and Poole families too.
Thank you very much

Thank you very much for all this valuable information. I did not have these leads and am grateful.

i have lots and lots of info on the imison familiy of runcorn if you would still like it.
am trying to look into one of the marriages that family entered onto at the moment - the rhodes family of hanley and a possible marriage of that family into the smith family (capt of the titanic) early 20th century,
-
edwin imison (above) went on to marry - Mary Savage - and have several children - Christopher savage imison b 1886 was one of them. He married Nora Jones b 1890, the daughter of thomas Jones and Ada rhodes.
the rhodes /jones family married into the smith family - the family of the capt of the titanic - but still trying to find the link.

have just discovered that violet gaby imison was probably born violet gaby powell and later changed her name to imison - her mothers (nora nee jones) married name.
her birth cert states her father was william powell.
she was born on 15th january 1928.
can anyone help me trace whther she got married or is still alive

Hello, I hope you found out about Violet Gaby Imison.
I have looked up the Births Marriages and Deaths.
There is an entry for Violet Gaby Imison for 1928 at Holywell, Wales, in the first quarter of the year.
I could not find out who her father was though.
Does help you at all?
There is a Violet Imison shown in Australia for 1954 for electoral roll, but I did not have a subscription so I could not open it to see.
-
Hi - no i didnt get any further. Guessing but likely that her mother seperated from mr imision and had violet with william powell whilst still married. do you have any info?
-
Hello, what details do you have of Gaby and her mother?
And of Mr Powell?
And of the "Imison"?
Imison is an unusual enough name for good searches to be made, but it depends where in the world they lived.
Some of the Imison family emigrated from England to Australia. And I know that at least one of the Imison young men died in the First World War.
I do not know the dates of Gaby Imison.
Is it possible perhaps that her mother married and she was then widowed and married afresh?

Hello,
I am also related to this family. I have just started researching and I would like to put together an ancestry book but I don't have any photos of any of the older people. Does anyone have any photos they could scan for me?
Our family is related to Christopher Savage Imison (son of Edwin Imison) and his children (directly from Isabel).
thanks,
Karen
