I am looking for a James Morison forn November 4 1832 Burntisland, Clackmannanshire who emigrated to Australia. He married Elizabeth Young (born 5 September 1851 in Kilwinning, Ayrshire) in the Scots Church, Melbourne, Victoria.
Any information would be much appreciated regarding Scottish origins, passenger lists or information in Australia.
Many thanks

Do you have the information of the children born in Australia? Andrew Henry James and Mary.
Elizabeth and James married in 1857, so I would assume Elizabeth was born earlier than 1851?
There is a James on the unassisted immigrants to Vic list 1852, who arrived with father James, who could be yours. (ages not given).

There is also a possiblity for Elizabeth, arriving alone in 1853 - no age given.

There are two notices at that link, (The Age, 13 September 1934, p. 1) and I can clearly read each one. There is additional family history in each one. I am happy to type these up, if requested to.

Here are the additional births (from Victoria bdm )
Mary Crawford Morison born 1869, mother Elizabeth Young, father James at Collingwood, reg 21447/1869
James Morison, born 1872, mother Elizabeth Young, father James at Collingwood reg 15317/1872

No need to type them up JM - I can see that there are two notices and one gives husband and children. It was only James (brother) that I found difficult to discern. But since then I have found birth and death entries which establish his name.
