Can someone give me a very quickie step-by-step tutorial on how to remove something from a photograph using Photoshop? I have a number of pictures like this one from which I would like to remove the number.

From the tools, select the "clone tool" and click on a clean area and clone it over the marked area, or do the same with the Spot Healing tool which automatically selects the matching pixels to over write the part you wish to remove.
Hope this makes sense. If not, google "how to remove unwanted marks in Photoshop on YouTube"

Okay, thanks! I'm going to start practicing.

you could also try the 'patch' tool.. It is all about practicing. enjoy.
I use that because a steady hand is not needed so much.. you can drag it around the pixels quiet easily and then smooth off rough edges.
again it wiil be on the net.
