Title: Date of will
Post by: Edward Scott on Monday 08 April 19 18:30 BST (UK)
Can anyone work out the date of this will?

it was proved in London on 26 Feb 1516/17 for John Cockett of Ampton Suffolk.

Many thanks

Edward

I think I can see it as the ix day of August 1515.

Agree with Vance.

The fifteen - xvth - is splodged on the v, making it a little uncertain, but if there were a j following we should see it below the line.

Thanks however a little confused, is it ix or xvth?

Must admit I cannot see either of these from the shapes in the will :)
