Thanks for the info.

You need to be clearer as to what you are asking for.  Have you looked on freereg and familysearch where Trish found the other information.

How much clearer could it be? Full name given, time span of 6 months, and location is a small town, though admittedly there will be non-conformist places of worship as well as the parish church.

FreeREG coverage for Chapel-en-le-Frith doesn't go beyond 1837, and PR images at Ancestry stop at 1918, so no help there.

The best hope is someone local who knows how to access more recent registers or films etc that haven't gone online yet.

Sorry, I had wrongly assumed that Trish had answered the question and that OP wanted something else.

ADDED Possibly the child was illegitimate
Births Sep qtr 1920

It can be a bit confusing - I know the area enough to know that it's referred to locally as just Chapel, whereas Rudolf's question could be taken to be about places of worship in Chesterfield other than the parish church. But Chesterfield's a whole other town.

Sadly I'm not local enough to know about the whereabouts of the registers etc.

The birth could also be anywhere in that reg district
https://www.ukbmd.org.uk/reg/districts/chapel-en-le-frith.html

Does the birth certificate give an address

Good point - and the district includes Buxton, which is a lot bigger than Chapel.

Hi Rudolf.

So that Baptism is not the Parents that you had for Ronald?

I also was confused as there is another Marriage Reg 1919 in Leics for a Walter Elliott/Lily Haywood.

So where/when did your Ronald die?
Who did he Marry?

There is also this one;
Elliott Ronald, Mothers mn Worner** Pontypridd  11a 1396
1939 he is born 6/6/1920

Trees have Ronalds Mother as Florence Mary Elliott.

Hang on - we're getting further and further away from Chapel-en-le-Frith.

I suggest we wait for Rudolf to get back with more info on what he knows already - things like:
what's on the birth certificate
Ronald's entry in the 1939 Register (if any)
Ronald's marriage and death details

Finding a baptism in 1920 in just the Chapel-en-le-Frith district may be tricky, because few records are online, but I don't think there's any need at present to be looking in other parts of the country.

I have access to the Registers for Town End Methodist Church in Chapel-en-le-Frith, and there is no entry for a Ronald Elliott in 1920

The Parish Church registers (Thomas a Becket) should be at Derbyshire Record Office in Matlock if they are no longer still in use at the church

But, as said above -- the Chapel-en-le-Frith registration district covered a wide area and will have many more churches and chapels
