Have found records up to the 1911 census,except for his marriage.
According to the 1911 census he had been married to Alice for 10 years ,marriage therefore 1901.Alice was born in Hull in 1877.
I cannot find them in the 1939 Register.
From family memories Harry was a "bit of a lad",I do wonder if he did actually marry?
Any help with the register or marriage greatly appreciated.

The column on the 1911 census asks for no of complete years of marriage ;D
Therefore a marriage would be 1900 to early 1901.
Possibilities:
March qtr 1900 Croydon RD marriage to an Alice Elizabeth Philpot
September qtr 1900 Lewisham RD marriage to an Alice Beckett
Haven't looked at Henry Green possibilities, though.

Alice Beckett is the one-1891 census shows her as being born in Hull in 1877.
Being registered at birth as Harry I assume he wouldn't have used Henry or Harold.
Strange I cannot find them in the 1939 register.

Milliepede-they had no children in the 10 years before 1911,so feel very unlikely they had any after.
Searched 1939 register again with Harry's exact date of birth (as above),and Alice Green with her birth date of Oct/Nov/Dec 1876 but no joy.
Did they emigrate? Wondered if anyone could do a quick check as I only have access to limited records on Ancestry ?

There are Harry Green's born about the right time on passenger lists but not found one likely to be yours yet :(
What occupation did yours have?

You say you have found them on census up to 1911 but give no indication as to whether they were married in 1901 census or where they were living at the time

A family tree has Harry with a wife Lizzie in 1901 :-X
And 1911 come to that so someone has got their Harry's mixed up.

Milliepede-in 1901 he was a French polisher in Grays Essex,and in 1911 a "French polisher (ships) yacht building" in Bitterne Hampshire.
Rosie-he married Alice Beckett in 1900 (see post 2).

Millipede-is there a family tree with my Harry Green in it ? The Lizzie is wrong as 1901 & 1911 censuses confirm Alice.
All seems a mystery after 1911.
I was told my grandfather,Harry's brother, tried to trace him believing him to be" up North",but to no avail.

The tree has Harry Green born 1874 West Hanningfield with
parents Walter and Ether (presume should be Esther)
marriage Elizabeth Sutton 1895 and
child Elsie Lizzie 1900
So I think they have got mixed up.

Found the trees,Walter & Esther the parents correct,but the marriage and thereafter all wrong.
Disappointing,and puzzling that nothing after 1911 discovered not even their deaths ?
Shouldn't imagine this happens very often.
