I understand some of this document which lists a member of the military reserve in 1914. Can anyone help with the occupations of the recruit and his (adoptive) father which look the same - column 8 and bottom of column 5. Also I'm curious what the 'remarks' at the bottom are about.
TIA

Hi Hugh,
They are both „Dachdecker „ - roof tilers
The note says:
17.1.1914. ange(meldet). Signed on
2.4.1914 abge(meldet) signed off. - auf Wanderschaft*
23.4.1914. nach Neumünster überwiesen transferred to Neumünster
Schulz u(nd) Delitzschstr. 35. - don’t know if it belongs to Ütersen or Neumünster.

After finnishing an apprenticeship the men travelled and took work wherever they could find it. After a certain number of years they could then become Masters .
