This is the wedding registration of my great aunt Jane Elizabeth Fanny Brooker's marriage to Malcolm Donald McCrimmon. I am trying to figure out his mothers maiden name. I think her first name is Sarah. Can anyone help me with her last name? Thank you.

Thank you so much. I just couldn't make anything out of it. What I am trying to do is find what happened to them after they married. Because they were married in Manitoba I wrote to their Vital Statistics and got the copy of their marriage licence. Jane was a war bride that came to Canada with her sister, my grandmother Florence Brooker from England in 1919. My grandmother married Leslie Trenholm in Edmonton on Dec 5, 1919. Since both Jane and her husband were older I assume they didn't have children I correspond with a second cousin in England and he said no one really knows what became of her after she married. I can't seem to find them on the 1921 census, but they should be on the census somewhere in Canada. I was trying to find out if they where they might be buried. No luck yet, but I am a very amateur sleuth ;) :).

We all started as amateurs - you'll get there if you persevere! ;) ;)

Malcolm McCrimmon and wife Jane are in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba on 1921 census (Jane has been transcribed as Verne?).
I note on their marriage that he was Malcolm Donald McCrimmon and an M.D. McCrimmon is shown as having died 1927, same place as above - Cemetery Hillside, Section 5 (this was found in Canadian Headstone Index). Can't see an entry for Jane.

As an alternative, there is also this www.findagrave.com/memorial/115932819
If correct, looks to have been buried with his parents following his death in 1944. Photo on find a grave not very clear. I have seen another better photo which I will try to find again and attach.

From family trees on a/try, someone has added a layer of text on the image to make it more legible.

There is an entry in the Canadian Voters Lists for 1935 in Carleton, Ontario which could be them:
Mr Malcolm McCrimmon, civil servant
Mrs Malcolm McCrimmon wife
However, there are other Malcolm McCrimmons around so not possible to say it is the correct Malcolm, particularly without wife's name given. Also, in 1921, Malcolm is showing as a farm labourer.

:-\ However, going back to Annette's possible death entry for Malcolm in 1927:
Malcolm McCrimmon and wife Jane are in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba on 1921 census (Jane has been transcribed as Verne?).
I note on their marriage that he was Malcolm Donald McCrimmon and an M.D. McCrimmon is shown as having died 1927, same place as above - Cemetery Hillside, Section 5 (this was found in Canadian Headstone Index). Can't see an entry for Jane.

There is also this entry in Find My Grave for a Jane E McCrimmon in 1927 www.findagrave.com/memorial/194109302/jane-e_-mccrimmon in the right place and age at death to fit with her age at marriage. What year was she born?

She was born 09-21-1877 St Pancras, London, England. Her birth was registered 1877
She was baptized with her brother William Thomas (born 04-08-1880 )on 04-25-1880.
I wonder why she put her age down as 40 when in fact she was 42 ;) ???.
