Trying to trace my great aunt who emigrated to Canada on 29th of March 1910. So far I have the following information about Georgina (Ina).
Father George Brown. Mother Jean Anderson Adams. DOB 15/10/1883 Kilmarnock, Scotland.
Arrived Halifax and headed for Winnipeg. Cited in a family obit. in 1940 as being a Mrs T Robertson.
Siblings who emigrated on the same ship were Mrs Mary Young McLean, Robert Adams Brown..they headed for BC.
Would love to find more details...where/when she died, who she married and any children.
Appreciate any help with the above.

There is a Georgina listed in 1959 but sadly I have no reason to believe that is your Georgina. :-\
Plot number was not the same or near to Andrews.
The 1949 death was a Janet Georgina Robertson (wife of James Paul Robertson)

Haven't quite found the death of Georgina nee Brown Robertson (suspected between 1949 - 1957) but perhaps the feet on the ground Raogk volunteer for Winnipeg Manitoba could help you - link below...........

Obit for Georgina Robertson in the Winnipeg Free Press on sept 24 1954
It says she died Sept 23 1954. She was 70 years old, wife of Andrew D Robertson of 1065 Garfield Street. Interment Brookside Cemetery.

Reply 8 named two sons - privacy laws in Canada are pretty strict. There is no central registry of births and deaths in Canada. Canadian birth and death certificates must be obtained from the vital statistics office of the province in which the event occurred.
Who can apply :-
Death:
Any person with a valid reason.
Only next-of-kin may obtain a certified photocopy of a death registration.

ADDED - I see that Sandra posted (in reply 7) that Georgina and Andrew went back to Scotland between 1915 and 1922.

Gosh that’s a lot to get my head around folks!! I’m surprised Georgina made these trips home particularly during WW1 period. I always thought during this sort of period, once people emigrated they rarely returned ‘home’. When Georgina first arrived in NS she had assisted passage and about £50 in her pocket! Obviously things improved for her financially....!
Will take some time to digest all this....

That's how I found this site looking up Georgina Brown Robertson after Janette messaged me Andrew Donald Robertson. I was taking to my gram before she passed and she talked fond of her Aunt Ina ( Georgina) and uncle Robert ( funny how they went by last name) wasnt alot to go on back in 2014 when I started my tree but I'm so happy to have finally found them sadly gram isnt with us any longer to know we finally found them but I'll be sure to share the stories if I can reach out to them.
